Pitcoudie Out of School Club

We are based in the Janitor's house next to Pitcoudie primary school, within the Pitcoudie area of Glenrothes. The school opened in 1978 to serve the Barlfarg, Cadham and Pitcoudie areas of Glenrothes. The primary school itself offers spacious outdoor play spaces including both concrete and grass play areas along with a community use garden, trim trail and wooded area.

Our after-school club opened its doors in 2003 for families in the local Pitcoudie area of Glenrothes. We are fortunate to have our own ‘wee house’ separate from the school within a short walking distance. Our service is on one level with disabled access and benefits from an enclosed spacious garden with direct access to outdoors. Along with a free-standing loose parts play shed and mud kitchen allowing us to promote free flow play indoors and out.

We offer parents/careers a flexible childcare service before and after school (term time) and full day cover during school holidays and in-service days. We strive on free play opportunities for children allowing them to learn new skills whiles they play in a safe secure setting. With staff who will encourage, support and nurture children to meet their own individual goal

 Our Vision: 

• Provide a play environment for children that gives choice, challenge, and risk to stretch their own development while respecting others right to play
• Support play by offering resources and activities that allow children to develop their own play
• Provide opportunities for children to play together developing their social skills along with awareness on how to risk assess their own play
• Develop outdoor play within the environment along with taking play into the local community
• Consult with parents to identify the needs of their child
• Work to make links with other organisations and agencies to expand experiences for the children attending

Opening Hours and Fees

• Breakfast Club: 7.45 to 9.00am
• After School Club: 3.00 to 6.00pm
• Holiday Club: 7.30am to 6.00pm (During school holidays we operate from Caskieberran Primary School)
