Childcare Practitioner
A Childcare Practitioner’s main role is to support children and young people to take part in a wide range of play-based activities. This is likely to include arts and crafts, sports, outdoor play and outings.
Although a qualification is desirable, we can support you to gain a relevant qualification such as an SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People).
We also have job opportunities for Childcare Practitioners to work on a casual basis across Fife. These opportunities are advertised on a monthly basis on Fife Council's Recruitment Site at www.fife.gov.uk/jobs.

Senior Childcare Practitioner
Senior Childcare Practitioners are highly skilled, able to do all the roles of a Childcare Practitioner and also able to lead the team, take responsibility for the service on a day-to-day basis, and fill in when the manager is absent.
This role requires supervisory experience, and you must already hold a relevant childcare qualification such as SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People).

Childcare Manager
The Childcare Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of a group of out of school clubs.
The role involves leading and managing a team of practitioners and senior practitioners, monitoring and developling the quality of the service, while working with other Childcare Managers to ensure the smooth running of the service.
