Rosslyn Out of School Club

Rosslyn Out of School Club is one of three designated specialist Out of School services providing after school and holiday care for children and young people with complexed additional support need. Our skilled childcare practitioners work on a 1-1 basis with the young people to supporter their individual needs while facilitating play and leisure activities tailored to their likes and interests.

Located within Rosslyn School on Windmill Community Campus, Kirkcaldy, the Out of School Club has access to the community lounge within the school building. Use of the fully accessible sensory room, soft play and a secure sensory garden can also be enjoyed during the sessions. The building and sensory garden are fully accessible for wheelchair users. There are hoisting facilities are available.

Sessions are designed to provide an opportunity to socialise with peers and allow our young people to choose play and leisure activities that meet their interests and individual needs. Session aim to be relaxed and offer a variety of activities such as sensory play, art and craft activities as well as life skills such as cooking and baking, all designed to support their development and encourage independence. During holiday periods the club welcomes visitors such as therapy ponies, animal man and silent disco to provide that something special to our sessions.

The location of Rosslyn Out of School Club allows the club to exploring the local community. Outing to Ravenscraig park, Dysart beach as well as the cafes are some of the activities enjoyed regularly by the young people. Within Windmill Community Campus the young people can enjoy some quiet time in the library or some energetic games in the games hall.

Opening Hours and Fees

• After School Club: 3.00 to 6.00pm
• Holiday Club: 8.30am to 5.30pm
