Care Inspectorate Inspection – Key Highlights for North Queensferry Out of School Club

The Care Inspectorate has published its recent inspection report for North Queensferry Out of School Club, and we are pleased to share some key highlights with families and the local community.

The inspection recognised a number of positive aspects of the service, particularly around the care, experiences, and overall wellbeing of children attending the club. Inspectors observed that children were supported within a safe and welcoming setting, where they were able to relax, play, and spend time with their friends after the school day.

The report also noted:

  • Positive relationships between children and staff
  • A range of activities that support children’s interests and choices
  • A caring and supportive staff team who work well together
  • A focus on children feeling comfortable, included, and respected within the environment

Alongside these strengths, the inspection identified areas for continued development. These reflections will support ongoing improvement work and help ensure the service continues to meet the needs of children and families.  The main area for improvement, which related to the clenliness, fixtures and fittings in the bathroom have already been addressed.

We welcome the Care Inspectorate’s feedback and are committed to using it to inform service development, staff practice, and quality improvement planning moving forward.

Families are encouraged to read the full inspection report for detailed findings and recommendations, which is available on the Care Inspectorate website:
