Children Thrive in Positive, Caring Environment at Capshard Out of School Club

Capshard Out of School Club in Kirkcaldy has received a positive evaluation following their first unannounced Care Inspectorate inspection since the service opened.

Inspectors found that children were happy, settled, and actively engaged in a wide range of indoor and outdoor play experiences, including use of the dining hall, gym hall, and large playground areas.

Staff were praised for their kind, caring interactions, helping to create an emotionally secure and welcoming environment for children. The report also confirmed that core assurances, such as safety and the condition of the physical environment, were met with no concerns identified.

While children’s personal plans were in place, the service has been encouraged to ensure these are reviewed more regularly. The club continues to work through a clear development plan focused on improving outcomes for children.

Overall, the inspection reflects a positive, nurturing, and engaging setting for families using the service.
